Effective: August 18, 2026 · Version: 1.0
This policy explains what data the English E A+ app collects, why it collects it, and how you can control it. Most data stays on your device; cloud features are always opt-in.
1. Who We Are
English E A+ is developed and operated by Robin Mollah, an independent developer based in Bangladesh.

2. Data We Collect
Local app data (always, stored only on your device)
- Practice session results (scores, question attempts)
- Vocabulary words you save from passages
- Study plan targets and daily streaks
- App preferences (language, sound, notifications)
Phone number (optional — only when you choose to sign in for cloud sync)
- Used solely to identify your account and sync progress across devices
- Not shared with any third party for marketing
- You can use the full app without providing a phone number
Crash and analytics data (automatic, collected via Firebase)
- Crash reports and error logs (to fix bugs)
- Anonymous usage events — which screens are visited, which practice modes are used
- No personally identifiable information is included in analytics events
3. How We Use Your Data
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Practice data | Show your progress, streaks, and weak-topic reports |
| Phone number | Sync progress to the cloud across multiple devices |
| Crash reports | Identify and fix technical issues |
| Analytics | Understand which features are useful and improve the app |
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond the Firebase services listed below.
4. Third-Party Services (Firebase / Google)
The app uses the following Firebase services, operated by Google LLC:
- Firebase Authentication — phone number sign-in
- Cloud Firestore — cloud storage of your progress data (opt-in only)
- Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage statistics
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash and error reporting
Google’s data processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Terms of Service. Data may be processed on servers outside Bangladesh.
5. Children’s Privacy
English E A+ is designed for HSC students, who are typically 16–18 years old. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Cloud sync (which requires a phone number) is an optional feature. Students under 18 should use it only with parental knowledge.
6. Data Retention
- Local data — remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data
- Cloud data — retained for as long as your account is active; you may request deletion at any time by contacting us
- Crash and analytics data — retained by Firebase per Google’s standard retention periods (typically 90 days for Crashlytics, 14 months for Analytics)
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Use the app without signing in — all practice and learning features work fully offline
- Request deletion of your cloud data — use the Request data deletion option in the app’s Settings screen, or email [email protected] directly
- Opt out of analytics by disabling analytics in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads)
- Uninstall the app to remove all local data from your device
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
